That is one of the nicer things about THEhotel - check-in is no more than 50-100 feet away from the elevators, and there's an entrance where you don't have to go through Mandalay's casino.

However, the downside is that you will have to hike through the Casino to get anywhere outside the hotel - pool, restaurants (save the 1 or 2 at THEhotel), the Strip, etc. all means a trek through the casino.
