I wonder why the maximum size of a carry-on piece never seems to be enforced. If they did, a lot of space would be made available. To me, it is frustrating to see how people ignore the luggage size limit to harass people that do. Nobody should be allowed on the plane with an oversized piece of luggage.

The most frustrating experience is to board and find your overhead space crammed by someone way in the back of the plane. At times, I have been tempted to just pull a bag out and leave it in the aisle. I am a tall guy too, and I am not willing to sit with my knees next to my ears just because someone else does not like to wait for his/her luggage.
