Refresher course? You must be joking. There is a reason why some of the people I know travel with just a small carry-on and send the important stuff by FedEx or UPS. At least then you can insure for replacement value and not the statutory $9/lb. It may be cheaper in the long run for CNN et al to just have equipment depots as part of their network, rather than risk further theft by government agents. Knowing your own equipment is useless when the government steals it anyway.
