Have to say I didn't take too much notice of the taxes on my rooms in India recently (Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Pune, Mumbai - all SPG properties), but as a new Plat, the treatment I received at all the properties (all ITCs or Le Meridiens) was nothing short of fantastic.
Great upgrades everywhere, and genuine efforts by staff to do everything they could.
