Thanks for the selective quoting. I have stopped trying to please people with whom "one cannot win," as I previously wrote. And while I'm not a FA I have to deal with people on occasion. So in cases where I am dealing with that type of person pleasing them generally is low on my list. It was a comment on that segment of society in general, not on the specific passengers on the plane who were complaining.
Oh, and another t-storm cell passed over EWR about 45 minutes ago. This one wasn't as bad in Manhattan, but I would imagine that a ground stop was in play thanks to lightning shutting down the ramps.
I'll echo the suggestion to find another routing if you want to be in MSP tonight. Getting there via EWR would seem to be a losing battle.
