30 lbs!!!! Is the dog on the shorter side? My Schnauzer is somewhat taller rather than heavy. I would have never thought he would fit under those seats. Maybe the middle seat (ugh) has more room? I thought the Yorkie got squished and he was only 7 lbs. First class, right?? I fly coach.

I agree Sherpa bags are the best. Maybe, I'll see how big the sherpa bags go??! $500-600 is too much to transport Charlie in cargo with all the risks (real and imagined) unless it was a long trip. Both my parents can come to LAS and visit the dog for about the same price AND get an actual seat.
