Zika Virus Warnings Prompts Airfare Refunds

Spirit Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, JetBlue, and Delta Air Lines are now making passengers aware of how they can alter their bookings – even offering refunds – due to recent warnings from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of the Zika Virus outbreak. According to NBC Washington, American Airlines, for example, “says pregnant women planning travel to Latin American or the Caribbean can request refunds if they provide doctor’s notes confirming the pregnancy.”
