Young Man Surprises an 88-Year-Old Stranger With Upper Class Upgrade

An 88-year-old woman recently fulfilled a lifetime dream with the help of a younger passenger on a flight they were both taking. Violet, the woman and a passenger on a Virgin Atlantic flight from London to New York, met Jack, the younger passenger, in the airport and the two quickly became friends.

“Jack and his family purchased seats in our upper class cabin for a flight home from New York, but when he got onboard, Jack went and found Violet in economy and swapped seats with her,” flight attendant Leah Amy shared on Facebook, reported by MSN.

Violet had dreamt of flying in the Upper Class area of a plane. Her seat in economy was right next to the toilets, a seat Jack took without complaint.

“He then sat on the row of seats directly next to the economy toilets and never made a peep or asked for anything the rest of the flight,” Amy continued in her post. “No fuss, no attention, literally did it out of the kindness of his own heart, no one asked him to.”

Violet was a nurse in the UK and in the United States, and was traveling to New York to see her daughter—she hadn’t been able to visit for a while due to a recent knee surgery. Thanks to Jack, who selflessly made her dream come true, and probably made her a lot more comfortable as well.
