You Can Now Tell TSA What You Really Think — On Yelp!

Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina was among the first users to visit Yelp’s new “Public Services and Government” category, posting a merciless review savaging the TSA.

Yelp recently made some policy changes that will allow government agencies to use the online consumer rating site in much the same way that businesses interact with consumers on the site. In theory, the move will force government agencies like the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to be more responsive to the public it serves. Yelp even introduced a new category of reviews under the heading “Public Services and Government” to kick off what the company hopes is a new era of government transparency and responsive customer service.

“How Many Stars Would You Give the TSA?” Yelp’s official blog asked, unveiling the company’s newest category. “Review Federal Agencies on Yelp…and Maybe Get a Response.” It isn’t clear how responsive federal agencies with be to Yelp users posting on the site’s new review category, but Fortune reports that based on early indications, the results should at the very least be entertaining.

Republican presidential hopeful and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina didn’t waste any time getting in on the act. Fiorina posted a review to the TSA’s Yelp page  in much the same way someone might complain on the local Olive Garden’s Yelp about slow service or dry breadsticks.

In her one-star review of the agency, Fiorina took the TSA to task for spending “$160 million of your taxpayer dollars on body scanners that have a failure rate.” Like many Yelp reviews, Fiorina’s post veers quickly off subject and delves briefly into scandals at the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Agency and the Department of Veteran Affairs before urging readers to visit her campaign’s website.

As of Thursday morning, the TSA enjoyed an average Yelp review rating of two stars.

    Carly Florin is nothing but a hypocritical cry baby. How much did Hewlett Packard spend on you Carli while you were ruining the company and laying off thousands of people? How much of your $90 Million severance really belongs to the shareholders because you were way over paid? As for TSA, they are doing their job just fine.
