Wow Air Will Pay Two Friends $4000 Per Month to Travel The World
The carrier has launched a travel guide competition and is looking for two friends willing to travel the globe and produce content for its website. From June 1 through August 15, the pair will live in Reykjavik, which will be their base while they explore any of Wow’s 36 global destinations.
Wow Air is looking for two plucky individuals to fill the ultimate summer job, Business Insider reports. The low-cost Icelandic airline launched its Wow Air Travel Guide competition on Monday and is seeking “a dynamic duo” willing to move to Iceland for the summer and explore some of the carrier’s 36 destinations, creating a digital guide of their travels for use on the carrier’s website.
Applicants who want to apply for this plum post would need to submit a video travel guide of their hometown or city here. If successful, the pair should be prepared to be based in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik throughout the summer and up until August 15. As part of the post, applicants will be provided with an apartment in the heart of the city’s downtown area, the outlet reports, and will also receive a paid salary of approximately €3,300 ($4,000) per month.
Travel, living and transportation expenses accrued during the course of the job will also be footed by Wow Air, the outlet reports. According to the airline’s website, the lucky duo’s duties will include exploring their choice of Wow Air’s global destinations, creating Vlogs and blogs showcasing their local travel tips as well as Instagramming stories and posting photos of their travels online.
The competition is open to a global pool of applicants, with May 14 set as the deadline for receiving candidates’ video applications. Winners will be announced on May 18 and successful applicants will take up their posts just a few weeks later on June 1.
