‘World’s Largest Plane’ Revealed by Microsoft Co-Founder
A plane billed as the biggest aircraft in the world, which features a 117-meter wingspan and six engines, has been unveiled by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. The Stratolaunch is meant to be able to launch satellites into orbit around the planet and is designed to carry a combined weight of 250,000 kg. The ambitious aircraft was constructed by Scaled Composites, a company that previously designed aircraft with the capability of ferrying space-faring craft into the atmosphere.
