Passenger Acts Erratically in the Aisle

To Jesse Tabit and Dalo: This person probably has a mental illness, or something like that, and it is appalling to post this story (especially the fact that she eventually stripped all her clothes off) and this video and deliberately embarrass her even more. The idea of publishing her name is unbelievably nasty. Obviously the person who made the original video and publicized it is even more to blame. I think flyertalk should have a policy of not reposting stories/videos like this. If you disagree or don't understand why, talk to someone who has experience of dealing with patients who have Alzheimer's or other mental illnesses. And if you think "if they have such a mental illness then they shouldn't fly," then talk to someone who has experience with patients who have Alzheimer's, as it is difficult in ways that you probably can't imagine. This story and this video and Dalo's comment have probably already caused unnecessary distress to people that you don't know, for no good reason.

Hard to believe an adult would act like this .What do you think about a one meltdown/incident/diversion and then you are on 'no fly' for life . Would people quit making excuses for their terrible behavior and 'fly right' if the penalties were severe ? Why should this video not be made public and broadcast repeatedly with the passenger named prominently ?

I'm not sure "tantrum" is the right word here. It looks she had some sort of mental health breakdown.
