Musician and entrepreneur will.i.am is introducing new sheets to W Hotels through a partnership with Coca-Cola.

Will.i.am’s EKOCYCLE brand is coming to W Hotels in the form of new bed sheets manufactured from recycled plastic bottles. The artist partnered with Coca-Cola to introduce the sheets, which are made from polyester blended with about 31 recycled 20-ounce plastic bottles per king-size set. According to a press release from Coca-Cola, that equates to about 268,000 plastic bottles recycled across all North American W Hotels.

16valetGuests can expect to sleep in the sheets in North America this year, with rollout across all 46 properties worldwide by 2016. In addition to the sheets, the group has created a mobile charger and accessory valet for each room that serves as a USB charger, jewelry stand and alarm clock. Each valet is created from three plastic bottles.

“I am very excited to bring the EKOCYCLE movement to W Hotel guests around the world,” said will.i.am in the release. “When it comes to finding partners for the EKOCYCLE initiative, Coca-Cola and I want to work with those who understand our message: that being more sustainable can be stylish. The new EKOCYCLE sheets and chargers that will now be at W are further proof that we can transform so much of the way we live through more sustainable, recycled materials.”
