Virgin America Launches New Tech-Friendly Route

Virgin America launched a new route from Denver to San Francisco on Tuesday morning, and had Sir Richard Branson (owner of Virgin Group, which includes more than 400 companies) on hand to demonstrate the services available aboard flights. The company claims that the new route has been in hot demand by tech workers who frequently fly with Virgin. To demonstrate the airline’s tech-friendly in-flight features and Wi-Fi connectivity, Branson conducted in-flight Skype sessions and video chats. “This entrepreneurial airline puts an emphasis on providing premium service and high-tech amenities that are perfect for Denver’s growing number of startup employees and business travelers,” said Denver Mayor Michael Hancock.
