Venezuela Puts Temporary Kibosh on Copa Airlines

The nation of Venezuela has instated a temporary halt on Panamanian businesses operating in the nation, including Copa Airlines, due to political tensions between the two nations. The move comes in the wake of Venezuelan officials being flagged by Panama as potential money launderers, and the ban was said by Venezuelan officials to last a total of 90 days.

The ban was undertaken “as a measure to protect the Venezuelan financial system,” according to Venezuela’s aviation authority.
