Urinating Passenger Fined £1,000 for Relieving Himself in Aisle

An Air India passenger was fined £1,000 for pulling down his trousers and urinating in the aisle on a flight to Birmingham last month. The 39-year-old passenger had boarded the Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner with his 10-year-old son when the incident occurred, according to Birmingham Crown Court prosecutor John Cardiff.

“About 40 minutes prior to landing he removed his trousers and stood in the aisle. He pulled down his boxer shorts, exposing his buttocks and then began urinating on the floor and seat of the aircraft,” Cardiff said, according to Hindustan Times.

Defending lawyer Alan Newport said that Abraham had been on medication after one of his children died at birth, and that the passenger has no recollection of the incident aboard the flight due to his medication being lost at the airport, leaving him in an unmedicated and volatile state due to anxiety about his wife’s welfare.
