United Wants to Return to JFK (But Doesn’t Know How)
Three years after United Airlines left New York’s John F. Kennedy airport, it looks like they want to come back.
But, said Scott Kirby, president of United, while the airline would like to return, he “doesn’t see a feasible organic solution to getting back in there.”
United would have to take slots from another carrier to come back to JFK and find terminal and gate space. However, Kirby, according to a report from Flight Global, declined to answer any questions about how, organically or inorganically, United might return to JFK. He also declined questions about just where United might fly from JFK.

Scott Kirby is looking for ways to get CRJ-200's certified to fly to Europe, then JFK will be feasible.
United gave up their slots to take over Newark Airport, now Delta is the King of JFK, United wants to weasel back in... What a shame.. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.
