United CEO Bases Winter Plans on Farmer’s Almanac

In a recent interview, United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz says he is resorting to information in the Farmer’s Almanac in it preparation for bad weather this winter season. “Farmers’ Almanac is calling for a very nasty winter, particularly in Chicago, one of our main hubs, Munoz said.

“So as we speak, our operating team is hard at work as to how are we going to accommodate passengers.”

However, according to USA Today, a United spokesperson said that the company itself does not base its decisions the Almanac.
