UA Aircraft Slides Off Runway at Spokane International Airport

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), a United Airlines flight skidded off a runway at Spokane International Airport (GEG) Tuesday. No injuries were reported among the 175 passengers onboard the Boeing 737 to Denver and reports suggest the aircraft hit a patch of ice as it was taxiing.

“From what we can tell, the aircraft may have hit some slippery conditions on the runway,” said United spokeswoman Karen May. May said that passengers used stairs to deplane and were taken back to the terminal via bus.
