U.S. Suspends Visas to Turkey and Vice Versa

Effective immediately, visas for business and pleasure between Turkey and the United States have been suspended indefinitely. The kibosh on travel between nations was initially instigated by the arrest of an American consulate employee in Istanbul, and currently the only visas offered to citizens of either country are immigration visas.
