U.S. Airlines Launch Havana Flights in Time for Castro Funeral

Following the death of former Cuban leader Fidel Castro on Friday, several U.S. airlines plan to commence regular commercial flights to Havana Monday. American Airlines will run a one-hour flight from Miami to Havana, and flights by Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, and United Airlines will begin offering service from various American airports to the Cuban capital in upcoming weeks. Castro’s funeral is scheduled for December 4.
