Two Airline Pilots Report Seeing the Same UFO
Get your tin foil hats ready FlyerTalk because not one but two airline pilots — one from Phoenix Air and one from American Airlines — reported a UFO sighting to the Federal Aviation Administration.
“Was anybody above us that passed us like 30 seconds ago?” the Phoenix Air pilot asked in a tape released to the Phoenix New Times. The answer from the FAA was “negative.”
Then the FAA in Albuquerque alerted American Airlines Flight 1095 to keep an eye out for any objects in the sky as they headed toward San Diego. Less than a minute after the warning, the pilot radioed the FAA:
“Yeah, something just passed over us. I don’t know what it was, but it was at least two-three thousand feet above us. Yeah, it passed right over the top of us.”
The pilots couldn’t determine if the object was hovering or flying but American Airlines pilot went on to say that the UFO had a “big reflection” and doubted it was a Google balloon.
“Other than the brief conversation between two aircraft, the controller was unable to verify that any other aircraft was in the area,” the FAA’s Lynn Lunsford told the New Times.
But, CBS was sure to mention, the sightings both took place just 500 miles away from Roswell, New Mexico the setting for one of the most famous UFO stories in the US.
