TSA Strip-Searched Charlie Sheen’s Ex-Wife For an Hour

Page Six reports that Brooke Mueller, the actress formerly married to Charlie Sheen, missed her Miami-bound AA flight because of a strip-search by the TSA. Mueller offered limited public comment on the ordeal, but the administration has publicly clarified its procedures in the wake of the incident.

Brooke Mueller, the actress formerly married to Charlie Sheen, missed her Miami-bound American Airlines (AA) flight late last weekend because of an invasive search by agents of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Page Six reports.

The incident, which happened on Sunday, resulted in the actress being unable to board her flight from Los Angeles. She did not offer detailed public comment on the search but was quoted by the outlet as saying, “The invasion of my body was borderline abusive. It’s not like they had just cause to treat me like a drug smuggler.”

Mueller has struggled with substance abuse issues in the past but is now clean.

A relative of Mueller’s commented on the incident, stating, “They strip-searched her more than once. They combed her hair looking for who knows what and kept sending her bags back and forth. It was harassment.”

“They swiped her hands so many times with those cloths and the bottom of her feet. An hour later, of course, they find nothing because she’s sober and doing well,” they added.

Offering comment on behalf of the TSA, an official for the administration spoke out to say, “TSA pat-downs are conducted by officers of the same gender as the passenger. In addition, TSA does not ask travelers to remove their clothing for pat-downs. TSA is focused on threats to aircraft security, and does not look for drugs.”

@OZFLYER86 I don't understand what you're trying you say. Last I've checked being a "junkie" did not require TSA to act as it apparently did.

I think many people are clueless what it means to be strip searched. I doubt that is what happened here. And, "stripped searched her more than once" sounds a bit odd. So, they made her take her clothes off, put them back on, the take them off again? I doubt she was strip searched.

Sorry, I don't buy it, she must have been late for the flight and tried to push her way through the screening process. If she, being an arrogant (very likely) celebrity, get's wise with the TSA agents, that will guarantee a more through search. I always love the fact the Hollywood Celebrities are never at fault, somehow they are singled out for abuse, nonesense.

Last time I checked on domestic TSA is looking for weapons and explosives. TSA does not normally look for illegal drugs. I once had a bag with a large amount of cash that they opened. The TSA guy did not even ask about it. This seems excessive.
