TSA Confiscated A Lot ‘Dangerous Items’ in 2015

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has revealed it confiscated 22,044 “dangerous items” at U.S. airports in 2015. Per the data released, the most “dangerous items” were not necessarily found at the nation’s busiest airports. For example, at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC), the Administration confiscated 434 dangerous items. Comparatively, only 199 dangerous items were found at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

you can capture millions of dangerous items - one from every passenger - and not end up with a single prosecution for attempted air piracy? What does that tell you? That TSA did not thwart a single attempted take over of an aircraft- it was merely people with items they either did not know were banned or - items they brought forgetting they were on carryons - It makes great press - but its essentially the same result as if they did not catch any of it - since no one they interviewed was arrested for attempting to hijack the flight they were supposed to on - meaning the net increase in safety was zero.
