Trump Hotels Revoke Name From Embattled Brazil Hotel

On Tuesday, Trump Hotels announced that it is removing its branding from a Rio de Janeiro luxury hotel, as well as all operational responsibilities by the hotel group. Trump Hotels’ decision to distance itself from the hotel appears to be a response to an ongoing criminal investigation into investments made in the hotel. Additionally, the revocation of Trump branding will go into effect Thursday, mere days after President-elect Donald Trump announced that his sons would operate his businesses while he serves as President of the United States due to potential conflicts of interest in overseas investments.
