Thunderstorms Lead Delta to Purchase Pizza

After harsh thunderstorms in the Southeast forced Delta to cancel hundreds of flights Wednesday, the carrier purchased over 700 boxes of pizza for passengers affected by the situation.

“We empower our agents and airport station leaders to find ways to take care of our customers when irregular operations disrupt travel,” said airline spokesperson Michael Thomas.
