Threatening Hawaiian Air PAX Leads to Diversion

A flight en route to JFK was forced to divert back to Honolulu International Airport (HNL) after a passenger allegedly became aggressive and threatened to slit his girlfriend’s throat. James W. August, the passenger in question, had reportedly been drinking alcohol before the altercation. The captain eventually made the decision to turn the plane around, and August was apprehended by authorities upon landing.
