This Luxury Hotel Brand Joins Hyatt Hotels

Hyatt’s latest acquisition can now be booked through their website and earn loyalty tier points. After purchasing Two Roads Hospitality in 2018, Thompson Hotels are now available to Hyatt loyalists through their website.

The latest hotel brand to join Hyatt through acquisition is now bookable through the company’s website and loyalty program. In an e-mail announcement to World of Hyatt members, the hotelier announced the new luxury properties were integrated into their internal booking engine.

Thompson’s parent company, Two Roads Hospitality, was acquired by Hyatt Hotels Corporation in the fourth quarter of 2018. The purchase added four high-end brands to the Hyatt portfolio, including Alila and Joie de Vivre. Slowly, the company has been integrating all four brands into the company, starting with loyalty programs and leading to the addition to a consolidated booking engine.

The Thompson brand describes it’s nine locations as a “carefully layered and dynamic neighborhood or resort setting that molds into the surrounding community.” The small imprint offers accommodations in major cities including Chicago, Playa del Carmen, Mexico; New York, Seattle and Toronto.

To celebrate the addition of Thompson to the Hyatt website, the company is offering a discount on two-night bookings made before April 30, 2019. World of Hyatt members may receive a 15% discount on standard rooms, or 25% off residential suites for stays through September 4, 2019.

Adding Thompson from the Two Roads group is the latest strategic extension of the company. In August 2018, Hyatt continued the reach of their World of Hyatt loyalty program through a strategic loyalty alliance with Small Luxury Hotels of the World. And in March 2019, the hotelier planned to open Hyatt-branded hotels in 27 cities by the end of 2020, bringing over 2,000 new rooms online.
