The Passengers and Crew of American Airlines Saved a Baby’s Life

A mother has praised the actions of the crew of an American Airlines flight who came to her aid when her 11-month-old daughter fell seriously ill while onboard. The incident occurred last Thursday on American Airlines Flight 607 from Tampa, Florida to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).

The quick actions of an American Airlines (AA) crew on a recent Dallas-bound flight from Tampa saved an infant girl, Live and Let’s Fly reports. Janay Flowers was traveling with her 11-month-old, Nevaeh, when the little girl suddenly became feverish and then had a seizure. The incident occurred last Thursday on American Airlines Flight 607.

The outlet reports that both members of crew and passengers around Flowers quickly came to her daughter’s aid. The flight’s staff were able to locate a trained medical professional who was able to give the child oxygen and reduce her temperature.

When the flight landed at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), the baby was taken to hospital and eventually released.

Speaking of her ordeal, Flowers voiced her gratitude to the airline in a post saying, “If no one was able to help me on the flight, I don’t know what I could have done for my baby, because I was in shock. I believe that they helped save my baby’s life.”

I would like to thank all of the passengers and flight crew who assisted my baby girl and I aboard #AmericanAirlines…

“We got rushed to the hospital so fast … I didn’t get to thank anyone. I want to tell them that from the bottom of my heart, my husband’s heart and my entire family, we are so thankful,” she said.

Flowers added, “I am so thankful to God. All I could do was pray to God to keep my baby. God worked through the angels who cared for Nevaeh.”
