The honor was given to this lounge by the Skytrax 2018 World Airline Awards after more than 20 million airline customers from across the globe placed their votes. Skytrax has been honoring the best of the airline world through the World Airline Awards since 1999.
What is it that makes the United Polaris business-class lounge at O’Hare so amazing? This lounge has achieved the balance of luxury and functionality that business travelers are looking for when they’re darting back and forth between airports.

All of the practical details that are important to business travelers are taken care of at Chicago’s Polaris lounge. Polaris guests can charge their devices or connect to free high-speed Wi-Fi if they have work on their minds. There are also custom scents, carefully curated music selections and calculated lighting.

Access is also open to customers flying on select long-haul international flights that are operated by Star Alliance partner airlines.

That United has the best of anything is news to me.
The Istanbul lounge may be impressive to see, but its wifi is so bad it is useless. That drops it off any list of good lounges.
CX lounges in HKG are pretty nice, especially FC.
I did not realize that Hong Kong had been annexed by the United States. Good to know an island near China now counts as the US. Also good to know that lounges that are expressly *not* business lounges are to be included in a poll of best business lounges. Add in that "best in the US" means "compared to the rest of the globe". Or maybe the rest of the flat earth. Reading comprehension is a sadly underutilized skill these days.
