Student Banned From Delta After Assault

After pleading guilty Monday to assaulting a crew member on a flight in August, a college student is now banned from flying with Delta Air Lines. The convicted, Eric Matthew Schneider, was accused by the FBI of threatening to kill passengers, shoving a flight attendant, and busting out of handcuffs, all while under the influence of alcohol.

Schneider pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault, claiming he was indeed drinking before boarding the flight and did engage in belligerent behavior.

He says he hit the flight attendant as he was flailing his arms after being restrained.

Good job Delta! This "student" will learn what consequences mean. If they do make a career, it would be real embarrassing if traveling with colleagues only to find out you can't go on their flight because of being banned by the airline!

By banning this loser, Delta shows support for its front line employees. I always wondered if airlines had "banned" lists, and whether getting banned on one airline gets one banned on another.
