Spirit Airlines Flight Delayed by Bomb Scare

Spirit Airlines Flight 971 from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) was delayed for several hours after a passenger reported seeing a text message between two other passengers that said, “your bombs are in place.” The threat was reported to staff before takeoff, and Broward County police officers forcibly removed one suspect and escorted the other from the flight.
Authorities have confirmed that the flight finally departed around 2:30 a.m. Monday and landed safely at DFW.
