SPG & Emirates Skywards Announce New “Your World Rewards” Partnership

SPG & Emirates Skywards Announce New “Your World Rewards” Partnership
Jennifer Billock

Starwood and Emirates have teamed up to create a new partnership that will bring more rewards to loyalty program members.

Starting November 19, Starwood Preferred Guest and Emirates Skywards members will be able to take advantage of a new partnership called Your World Rewards. The two loyalty programs are teaming up to provide more savings to their valued members.

Under the new program, when SPG Gold and Platinum members fly Emirates, they will earn 1 Starpoint per each U.S. dollar spent on eligible flights, in addition to Skywards Miles. SPG Platinum members will also enjoy e-gate access and priority check-in and boarding when flying with Emirates.

When Emirates Skywards Silver, Gold and Platinum members stay at Starwood hotels, they will receive 1 Skyward Mile per each U.S. dollar spent, in addition to the Starpoints for eligible stays. Gold and Platinum Skywards members will also be able to check out late, use the elite check-in line, and enjoy complimentary in-room Internet when staying at Starwood properties.

Starwood has a hotel or resort in nearly every destination Emirates flies to, and the hotel group hopes this partnership will create a better travel experience for customers. According to Starwood, the partnership makes sense because both companies have a similar mindset and complementary global footprints.

Your World Rewards participants must be enrolled in both loyalty programs. Qualifying loyalty members can register here beginning November 19, and they will be required to link both loyalty accounts. SPG members enrolled in the Airline Direct Deposit program are not eligible for Your World Rewards.

Any word about whether this replaces DL’s arrangement?

I would think this is an additional program rather than replacing DL.
