A new story from Bloomberg claims that several hotels have begun providing their housekeepers with “panic buttons” that can be activated if they feel threatened by guests. This appears to be the result of longstanding issues with hotel employees and their ability to perform their job without sexual harassment from guests. These buttons may be activated via electronic whistles provided by their employers, iPads or other electronic devices.
