How Snapchat Got A Passenger Booted off a Plane

On a recent Jet Airways flight, 21-year-old Yogvedant Poddar was taken into custody by security after a fellow passenger alerted staff that the young man had Snapchatted a picture of himself with his face half-covered and the caption “Terrorist on flight, I destroy women’s hearts.”

Security was particularly vigilant, as this happened to be the ten-year anniversary of the Mumbai attacks. After questioning Poddar and searching his bag, authorities concluded that there was no terrorist threat, and the flight was allowed to depart after an hour-and-a-half delay.
