Small Airline Has Solution to Sleeping but Also Needing Snacks
Air Astana, a Kazakhstan-based airline, has an outstanding solution to the problem of needing both sleep and snacks while flying. The airline provides sleep masks with “wake me up for meal” written on the outside in a variety of languages so that passengers need not miss out on drinks and food because they needed to catch some shut-eye on one of Air Astana’s long-haul flights.

When I was last on Emirates they had little stickers you put on your seat. Is this uncommon?>
And to think, other airlines have to upgrade inflight entertainment systems with all kinds of survey mechanisms and computerized algorithms to calculate weights and balances to decide how many meals to cook fore vs aft. There is something to be said about simplicity, kinda like the brevity and succinct articulation of this comment.
I've been on long-haul flights and put a big note on my tray to leave my (special) meal there. They never do it, so the eye mask is a great idea.
