Skytrax Announces Airline of the Year at Paris Air Show

At a Tuesday awards ceremony the Paris Air Show, air transport ratings Qatar Airways was named “Airline of the Year” by air transport ratings group Skytrax. Factors in the decision were the airline’s long- and ultra-long routes, plush lounges and excellent business seating options.

I don't think I would fly them as their air route into Qatar is now restricted. Could result in delays etc.
These are pay for play type ratings...they don't have any real meaning.
