Singapore Airlines Embraces ‘Green Routes’

In an effort to reduce carbon emissions, carbon dioxide emissions and fuel consumption rates for flights, Singapore Airlines’ service to Canberra and Wellington in Australia will operate as “green routes” and will observe energy measures outlined by the Asia and Pacific Initiative to Reduce Emissions.

Stephen Angus, Airservices Australia’s executive general manager for Air Navigation Services, said, “The new Singapore–Canberra–Wellington route is another excellent example of airlines, airports and air navigation agencies working together to reduce aviation greenhouse gas emissions globally.”
