SIN Eyes Facial Recognition to Find Late Pax

According to officials at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), the airport is considering deploying the use of facial recognition technology in order to help locate passengers who are late or missing for flights. The airport is currently using facial recognition technology at its Terminal 4 in order to expedite the checking-in process, as well as baggage drop, and wider implementation would ideally reduce delays and lead to more consistent flight schedules.

The intent for using this technology may sound nice, but does it feel right to be watched and tracked? That is becoming too much Bradbury-esque. - Hey, you, in the 4th stall of the men's room, stop texting, put your pants on quickly and move your rear to the gate ASAP! (And, please, don't forget to wash you hands, as your mom taught you.)
