Shocker: Fireworks Banned by TSA This 4th of July

As with the other 364 days in the year, airline passengers are prohibited from traveling with fireworks this Fourth of July. On its blog, Transportation Security Administration recently encouraged customers to leave their festive explosives at home while flying this summer. “Fireworks and firecrackers are explosive and flammable, so in an effort to keep the skies safe, fireworks are prohibited from being transported in both carry-on and checked bags.” Passengers with additional questions can tweet the TSA at @AskTSA from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
