Severe Turbulence Injures 12 Flyers

Ten passengers and two crew members were injured aboard a recent EgyptAir flight when their aircraft encountered severe turbulence while en route from New York to Egypt. The 12 individuals were taken to the hospital after the Boeing 777-300ER landed safely at Cairo International Airport (CAI).

Officials claim the injuries were later determined to be just superficial. Hossam Kamal, the Minister of Civil Aviation, and a number of senior aviation officials met the injured flyers at CAI to ensure they received proper treatment.
