See the Raiders at Ultra Low Cost Carrier Stadium

Though the new stadium for the Las Vegas Raiders and University of Nevada is still under construction, an agreement has been reached on what the new stadium will be called; the Raiders announced Monday that Allegiant Air will have naming rights to the stadium after it’s finished.

It’s official: the new Las Vegas Stadium has a name. The Raiders announced on Monday that naming rights will go to Allegiant Air, and the stadium will be known as Allegiant Stadium when it’s complete.

“We’re thrilled that our future home will be known as Allegiant Stadium,” Raiders President Marc Badain said in a release. “As the hometown airline, Allegiant is the perfect partner to showcase the incredible support we continue to receive from the Southern Nevada community. We are grateful to all involved who worked diligently to make Allegiant Stadium a reality.”

As part of the partnership, Allegiant will be able to have exterior signage on the Las Vegas Strip stadium. The airline will also run special promotions and contests throughout each season alongside the Raiders.

“This partnership is an incredibly exciting opportunity to join Las Vegas’ hometown airline with its new hometown NFL team,” Maury Gallagher, Allegiant chairman and chief executive officer, said in the release. “It will not only amplify our growing brand as the only U.S. airline focused on leisure travel and experiences, but will also provide access to NFL games and special opportunities for fans across the country. We are thrilled to be able to bring Raider Nation to its new capital—Las Vegas.”

Amen, Dr.Ells! The only reason this is considered an airline is they fly metal tubes in the sky for "profit."

Allegiant Airlines is the worst carrier in America. They charge for virtually everything you wish to take abroad other than your el-cheapo seat. They get their money out of the sucker passengers in the end! If you enjoy a seat pitch of a lush 16", seat width of 14" and having to lube your hips to be able to slip into your seat, then this is the airline for you!

The ONLY airline focused on leisure travel and experiences??? Clearly not an airline for some of us — those with a high level of intelligence!
