Secret’s Out: King of the Netherlands Is a Pilot for KLM

Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands, revealed this week that he has secretly been co-piloting KLM flights for the past 21 years. “I find flying simply fantastic,” he said in an interview with a Dutch newspaper. “You can completely switch off for a while and focus on something else.”

The news came after it was revealed the King was headed to training to fly a Boeing 737, a plane that will soon be used by the carrier.
