Sassy Flight Attendant Delivers Hilarious Safety Briefing

A WestJet Airlines flight attendant earned a well-deserved round of applause after spicing up the traditional pre-flight safety demonstration with his own personal flare. Throughout the demonstration, the crew member flamboyantly took advantage of seat belts, safety cards and oxygen masks, all the while showing passengers what to do in the event of an emergency.

One of the passenger onboard shared a video of the flight attendant’s performance via Facebook alongside the caption: “We had the best in-flight crew on WestJet. Laughed so hard.”

I only fly a couple times a year, so this would be amusing to me and I am still one of those that will listen to the safety information. If I flew more than that, I could see where seeing the same "comedy show" would get boring. But I am not sure it would be any more boring than a serious safety demo.....

The flip-side, 98103, is: as a frequent traveler, when is the last time you actually paid attention to a safety demo? I know I'm usually long gone by then.

He may care about safety, but when this kind of schtick is done--whether it is dancing, rapping or (barely passable) comedy, it makes me think they don't take the safety aspect all that seriously. Oh, they'll say it makes people pay attention, but I'm one of those who will stop listening. Maybe the less than frequent travelers enjoy these, but if I want comedy or entertainment, I'll select my own, thankyouverymuch. How many of the jokes made during safety demos have you heard more than you care hear?

When you see things like this, you have to wonder about all the "horrible FA" stories you read on FT. If normal flight attendants care 1/10 as much as this guy how can you not be impressed or at least not satisfied. This guy loves his job!
