Ryanair Slaps Spitting Toddler’s Mom with a Lifetime Ban

A mother is accused of becoming aggressive after flight attendants insisted she control her two-year-old child who was reportedly spitting at other passengers.
A two-year-old child was reportedly making life unpleasant for passengers on a Ryanair flight from Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN) to Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL) on Wednesday. Passengers on the flight say the toddler was spitting at other passengers during the flight and when the crew asked the child’s mother to put an end to the behavior, the child’s mother allegedly became abusive.
“At the baggage carousel, passengers were telling us how a boy had been spitting at people in the Barcelona departure lounge, they’d asked the parents to intervene, and the mum took exception to that,” a passenger on the flight told the Liverpool Echo. “This behavior carried on when on the plane, threats were made by her, and there was aggression towards the Ryanair stewards. It was all pretty surreal.”
Eyewitnesses say that police boarded the plane as soon as it arrived at the gate at LPL. The mother and child were then escorted off the flight by officers, but Merseyside Police say that the mother was not arrested or charged with a crime.
The airline, however, did not let the mother of three off the hook quite as easily. “The crew of this flight from Barcelona to Liverpool requested police assistance upon landing at Liverpool, after a passenger became disruptive in-flight, who was removed and detained by police,” a Ryanair spokesperson told The Telegraph.“We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behavior at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority. The woman has been banned from traveling with us again.”

Absolutely not, the parents should be held accountable. I agree with Ryanair and wish United followed same on our flight home from Aruba. This couple couldn't control their 2 children and all 4 of them were seated in First. The parents were both defensive and abusive to anyone who approached them to control their children from kicking seats in front of them or their outbursts for the entire flight home to Newark.
But if it was the toddler who was spitting, shouldn't the toddler also have been banned for life?
good for ryanair. these so called parents are out of control, let alone their children.
