Robert DeNiro’s Nobu Hotel in Manila Named Worst for Luxury Hotels

The Nobu Hotel in Manila, Robert DeNiro’s luxury property in Asia, ranked worst hotel opening for 2015 in a recent survey.

Sorry, Robert DeNiro—the guests have spoken, and your luxury hotel ranked the worst in the world for 2015. The ranking came as results of an annual survey taken by members of the Luxury Travel Intelligence (LTI) website. DeNiro’s hotel, the Nobu Hotel Manila, was dead last, FOX News reported.

Blouin Art Info was able to publish an early copy of the survey results, where LTI members said things like “disappointments at every turn,” “some questionable developments and over expansion,” and “underwhelmed and disenchanted.”

DeNiro is co-owner of the hotel, sharing responsibility for the tragic results with celebrated chef Nobu Matshuhisa and Meir Teper, a Hollywood movie producer. The hotel only opened in May. A regular deluxe room costs $164 per night and a Nobu Suite, complete with city views, runs about $400 per night. This particular property is the first Nubo hotel in the chain to open in Asia.

Considering it's a "by invitation only" website, I couldn't care less about what LTI says.
