Qatar to Start New Airline With 100 Planes

With 100 aircraft, Qatar Airways is planning on creating a new Indian carrier to boost its presence in the country. The airline will submit an application to the Indian authorities soon, Akbar Al Baker, the airline’s CEO, said in a statement Wednesday. Qatar’s project will reportedly not be a joint venture.
