Qatar Airways Ups Luxury Game With Armani-Packed Amenity Kits For Him & Her

Middle Eastern carrier Qatar Airways is the first airline to partner with Armani and Missoni for in-flight commodities.
Already known for luxurious opulence as part of the in-flight experience, Qatar Airways is teaming up with two more high-end brands to offer its flyers even more. In a press release, the Arabian carrier announced the launch of new amenity kits featuring Georgio Armani Fragrances & Beauty and Missoni pajamas. The new amenities will soon be available to flyers in first and business class.
The new kits will compliment the line of Rituals skincare products also offered to premium flyers. Each of the new amenity kits will feature many of the luxuries travelers have come to expect, including eyeshades, socks and earplugs.
The airline will feature two different Armani amenity kits for men and women, as well as separate kits for first class and business class flyers. Products featured will come from the Armani lines “Acqua de Gio,” “Armani Pour Homme” and “Si.” For overnight flights, premium cabin flyers will be treated to pajamas and slippers from Italian designer Missoni.
“We are delighted to collaborate with these renowned luxury brands to provide our First Class and Business Class passengers with refined luxury and comfort, ” said Akbar Al Baker, chief executive of Qatar Airways. “These brands are distinguished by their sophistication, superior quality, luxury and eminence – attributes that also define Qatar Airways’ signature service for our passengers.”
The move for the two-time Skytrax best business class honoree comes during a period of turbulence for the airline. In February, the airline refuted allegations of sexism raised by the International Transport Workers’ Federation. In March, chief executive Al Baker accused legacy carrier Delta Air Lines of flying aircraft “that are 35 years old.” On April 10, the three federal departments of the United States government launched an investigation against the carrier to determine if they received illegal subsidies, in the latest maneuver of the Open Skies debate.

The Armani kits have been provided for some time now - we were given these amenity kits last December. It's good to see that some carriers strive for continuous improvement while others - BA in particular- are degrading their premium products and are certainly winning the race to the bottom.
Is this Old-News??? I got this bag on the 3rd of January... (3 Months ago) Zzzzz
Flew them over the weekend twice. The bag is great, multi-purpose. The Armani kit for men was great. The Lip balm is the best I ever used, very soft and long-lasting.
