Preclearance Coming to ARN and Maybe 11 Other Airport

U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Preclearance is coming to Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) as early as 2019 thanks to a decision made by officials Friday. The program’s goal is to prevent the arrival of unwelcome visitors before they enter the U.S. Eleven other airports, including ones in Japan and Brazil, are reportedly in negotiations to participate in the program.

I absolutely hate the idea. Aside from my philosophical opposition (why should the US be conducting immigration clearance in a foreign country?) these preclearance stations are the worst. They are extremely slow and the personnel tends to be the most rude and obnoxious. Thumbs down.
