Porn Star Attacks Airline Over Tongue-in-Cheek Tweet

When a French porn star took to social media to air a complaint about a delayed flight, the airline sent a suggestive tweet in response.

It’s not a secret that venting a customer service complaint on social media can often earn a faster response from an airline than speaking with a custom service agent, especially if the passenger doing the complaining has a large number of Twitter followers. Adult film star Nikita Bellucci certainly has a lot of Twitter followers, but according to reports, the actress didn’t get quite the attention she was looking for when she used social media to call out Air France subsidiary Transavia Airline over a delayed flight.

Bellucci sent a tweet questioning the airline after her flight home from Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) was delayed for a fourth time on Monday. Soon after, the airline tagged Bellucci in a tweet of their own.

The snarky tweet from the airline, written in French, translated to: “@NikitaBellucciX Flight is scheduled for 14.30. It’s just that with you, we prefer when it lasts longer. Have a good day. I remain available.”

It quickly became clear that Bellucci was not charmed by the airline’s awkward pickup line. She responded with a later deleted message of her own calling the airline “a bunch of bastards” and vowing never to fly Transavia again.

When it became clear the teasing had caused offense, the community manager responsible backtracked in a hurry. “I am sorry you were offended by this joke,” a later tweet from Transavia read. “I was just trying to lighten the mood. Again, I’m sorry. The plane will leave shortly.”

Transavia officials say they reached out to the porn star to personally apologize and Bellucci herself sent a message on Twitter announcing that she considered the matter closed.

The actress said later in the week, however, that her experience with the airline is endemic to the way women in her industry are treated.

“In France, unfortunately I have noticed that if you are a porn star, you don’t have the right to want to cultivate your mind and you must not share your opinions on the news,” she lamented on Twitter. “Open your thighs, look beautiful and shut up… is all that’s allowed.”

I always laugh when people take anything on Twitter seriously.

Ridiculous that she thinks their response had anything to do with her profession. She sends a post with a flirtatious picture and gets upset when she gets a flirtatious comments. It's like a woman who wears a super short skirt and gets mad because people stare.
